We woke up this morning and got to sleep in at the Grand
Canyon where we leisurely packed up our belongings and attempted to dry them
off. We loaded the bus around 11 this morning to begin our trek to Las
Vegas, Nevada. Before we loaded the bus, the group in charge of breakfast
prepared a lovely meal of pancakes, eggs and sausage to hold us over during our
long journey.

All of the dwarf groups were sitting together on the bus or the
vans so we could all work on our Vegas chants. The Vegas chants were anything
consisting of a type of song where we got to talk about everything we had been
doing over the past seven days. All of the groups did covers of songs where
they changed the lyrics to fit our TWB experience. After working on our chants
for a bit we enjoyed a traveling lunch that was a delicious ranch, turkey, and
lettuce wrap and some goldfish as a side. After eating that nutritious lunch we
headed to Walmart where the new cooks bought supplies for our meals in Santa Monica, CA tomorrow.

After leaving Walmart all of the groups continued to work on
and perfect their Vegas chants. After having a little while to finish writing our chants we arrived at
the University of Nevada at Las Vegas or otherwise known as UNLV. We were very
fortunate to be allowed to go into their student center to avoid the heat instead
of sitting in the usual TWB spot at the outdoor amphitheater. We had about half
an hour to fully rehearse our chants and each group performed theirs in front
of the whole group. The Dopeys, Sleepys and Sneezys won the Vegas chant in
a three way tie. All of the groups put
lots of effort into their chants and all
were very creative.

After finishing our chants we all loaded the bus and vans to
drive to the Las Vegas strip. After parking we all walked to Caesars Palace
where we took in the sights and took a group picture. After taking the picture
we were allowed to split into groups of five or more and tour Las Vegas. The
majority of the groups decided on eating first at one of Las Vegas’ many
restaurant choices. There were so many amazing things to see; one of which being
the water show at Bellagio, which was truly a sight to behold. Many Vegas
t-shirts were purchased by the campers as we all made our way back to the bus by
12:15. After all of us had finished changing we loaded the bus where we will be
sleeping for the night as we travel to Santa Monica, CA to be at the beach bright
and early in the morning.

Thank you all for keeping up with the blog! Sadly the
Dopeys must say goodbye as we pass on our job as bloggers to the next group. We hope you all enjoyed our telling of all of the amazing things that we got to
experience over these past couple of days.
