Day 9: DISNEYLAND!
Brandon M. got to celebrate his birthday today!!! Happy birthday, Brandon!
This morning we woke up to sunny and hot California and the sound of
the highway just behind us. We had an easy cereal breakfast of Wal-Mart brand fruit loops and golden puffs prepared by the
Bashfuls. After eating breakfast we walked as a giant group to the “Happiest Place on Earth," Disneyland!!!

Lead by the fearless V, TWB made its way into Disneyland.
Security was extra tough and some of our “dangerous” selfie sticks were
confiscated. Once our group was checked by security, we gathered outside the
park for a group photo.
Today, Disney was celebrating its partnership with Pixar, by
having “Pixarfest." All of TWB then went to the Indiana Jones, Pirates of the
Caribbean and Haunted Mansion rides. Since we do not have our phones, we passed
time by meeting other people! We did this by giving each other high-fives, and
playing “Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot" with random other park-goers. Once we were done with the rides, we
were allowed to split up into small groups to explore the park. Some of TWB’s
favorite rides included: Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsled, Splash Mountain,
the Teacups, Peter Pan’s flight, Star Tours, Disney Railroad and It’s A Small
World. As we all know, Disney is NOT
cheap. This of course includes their food. Some participants decided to go and
eat at the local Anaheim McDonalds and IHOP, while others decided to eat
inside the park. Today at 3:00 and 6:00 PM, Disney put on parades on Main
Street USA! We saw characters like Sully from Monsters Inc., The
Incredibles, Star Wars characters, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. To wrap up the
evening, we enjoyed fireworks from Main Street USA. Tonight’s firework theme
had to do with Disney/Pixar movies. We saw references from Up, Monsters Inc.,
Toy Story, Coco and Finding Nemo. Once the fireworks were done, we walked with our groups to
the McDonalds to be picked up and shuttled back to the campsite by the wonderful Matt Wilfong, and Ms. Beautiful!
While we were waiting for them, we jammed out in the parking lot.
We are now showering and resting for another fun filled day
in Hollywood. Maybe we might meet a celebrity! Sweet dreams, love the Sleepys.
